Summer Events for Day Care Centers and Dexter Summer Camps

Summer 2019

Greetings Camp Organizers and Day Care Centers

The Dexter District Library welcomes Summer Camps and Day Care Centers to register their children for the Summer Reading Program and attend selected events held at the Library. Participants will receive incentive prizes for demonstrating continued progress to meet their reading goals and will be eligible for all prize drawings at the conclusion of the program. In the past, the Library has received several comments and concerns from individual parents regarding large groups attending events geared for the general public. Due to the popularity of our programming, the Library has designated certain events as ones open to organized summer groups. This summer, the Library is happy to accommodate larger groups at the following events:

Programs and events omitted from this list will not be available to organized groups in order for the Library to control presentation costs and provide the programming environment requested by many of our individual families. Please also refer to the Library’s “Field Trip Guidelines” for expectations regarding supervision and behavior of children. The Library is happy to serve as a resource to supplement your summer activities. Your help in abiding by these guidelines will enhance everyone’s experience at the Library this summer. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions regarding this policy.

Best regards,

Paul McCann, Library Director
