A gursha is an act of friendship and love. During a meal with friends or family, it is a common Ethiopoan custom to feed others in the group with one’s hand or a spoon. This is called a gursha, and the larger the gursha, the stronger the friendship or bond. Join Ann Arbor native  Brad Durr, executive chef at Ann Arbor Golf & Outing Club and  Consulting Chef for The Blue Nile Restaurant, for this lecture and cooking presentation on Ethiopian Cuisine. Brad will be discussing the history of coffee, tea, spice blends (teff) and dining traditions of Ethiopia.

There will be some food tasting and an injera (Sourdough Flatbread) demo so registration is mandatory. Register at the Adult Service Desk or call the library at 734-426-4477.
