This 84-minute documentary follows a diverse group of pilgrims, ages 3-73, from all over the world as they attempt cross an entire country on foot with only a backpack, a pair of boots and an open mind.

Featured as one of Huffington Posts top ten heartwarming films of 2014 and one of four Cool Documentaries for Teens in the Washington Post Family Filmgoers Favorite Films of 2014, Walking the Camino features breathtaking vistas, and engaging characters that bring the Camino to life.  Experience the pilgrimage route, which is 575 miles from St. Jean Pied De Port, France, to Santiago Spain, following a Roman trade route to the Atlantic coast of Galicia, ending at Cape Finisterre.

Join us for the showing of this documentary followed by discussion with David Larwa.

David Larwa, has walked the Camino six times in the last three years.  He would like to encourage people of all ages to attend.  The session is for armchair walkers, walkers, and aspiring walkers.  He will bring his back packing gear for show and tell at the end of the documentary.

David J. Larwa has served as the National Science Consultant for several major publishing companies.  He has worked in schools and conducted workshops for teachers throughout the world.  David brings his love of learning, teaching, and travel to Dexter.
