Join Susan Nenadic for this presentation on women in history that you may not know, but should.  A potpourri of 19th Century women whose actions significantly altered American society, yet the general public is unaware of their contributions. Many of these accomplished women left their mark on society as reformers, professionals, and adventurers.

Susan L Nenadic is the author of A Purse of her Own:  Occupations of Nineteenth Century Women and Legendary Locals of Ann Arbor as well as many articles.  Ms Nenadic provides programs throughout Michigan and teaches adult learning classes.  She is a former board member of the Washtenaw County Historical Society for which she was in charge of museum exhibitions.  She is currently a member of the Ann Arbor Street Exhibit Educational Committee.  Her other local interests have been abandoned in favor of serving as president of a non-profit, Friends of Amoru, which is building and financing a school in rural Uganda. Register at the adult service desk or call the library at 734-426-4477.
