Indian Street Food with Raunaq Savur

Street food is a good indicator of what a culture really enjoys. This class will focus on 2 popular Indian street foods. Chef Raunaq Savur will demonstrate how to make Potato and Pea Samosas a Traditional Indian pastry filled with a mild potato and pea mixture, and fried to golden brown.  Learn how to make the filling, how to stuff the pastry, and how to fry them.  Guests will get an opportunity to make and fry their own.  Chef Savur will also make Bhel Puri A traditional vegan street food that combines fresh vegetables, puffed rice, chutneys and more to create a great snack that has different textures, flavors and colors.

In order to guarantee enough food to sample, registration is required. Register at the Adult Service desk or call the library at 734-426-4477.
