Post Traumatic Stress Disorder A Police Officer's Report Cover

Author and Former Police Officer, Ken Rogers, will discuss post traumatic stress disorder in first responders. As a police officer in Pleasant Ridge, Michigan, Ken Rogers was desperate and wide open to emotional pain. On the outside, he looked all right, but he wasn't. He was emotionally ill. His Post Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms were classic.
Ken will discuss his personal experiences serving as a Police Officer and his involvement in the shooting of a barricaded gunman. Following the shooting he experienced Post Traumatic Stress Disorder which changed his life forever.   First Responder’s often experience trauma and stress that go untreated despite today’s advances in medicine and therapy. Ken’s hope is that other First Responders understand that they are not alone in their feelings of isolation and depression. With help and knowledge they can survive a critical incident and the possibility of developing PTSD. Those interested will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of Ken’s book, “Post Traumatic Stress Disorder – A Police Officers Report”.
