Adult Summer Reading Program: Ground Breaking Reads!

Summer Reading fun isn’t just for the kids! Come and signup for this year’s Adult Summer Reading Program. This year’s theme is Ground Breaking Reads and we are traveling across time lines both past and future in search of ground breaking events and the great reads that accompany them. This year’s program consists of 7 weekly themes: Transportation, Communications, Politics & Culture, Science, Industry & Medicine, Fashion & Society, Design & Architecture, and Music. Upon registration participants will get a package containing a timeline for each week, instructions and reading suggestions, a Groundbreaking Reads insulated lunch bag, and a Ground Breaking Reads journal & pen. Fill in any 4 lines on a timeline with what you read on anything pertaining to or including the topic for that week and turn in your time line for entry into the Grand Prize Drawing! Remember, you can read Fiction, or Non-fiction, books, articles, or journals on any ground breaking achievement or event that pertains to the weekly theme. There will also be bonus drawing entries for attending the spectacular library programs and movies that are scheduled over the summer!

Remember that you do not have to be registered in the Adult Summer Reading program to attend the scheduled movies and programs so bring family and friends along! Registration begins Friday, June 14th, at the Adult Service Desk.
