What did the German people know about the Holocaust?  Did they approve of the Nazis' actions against the Jews?  How did The Nazi regime justify to the population what it was doing?  Was resistance possible?

Join Eastern Michigan University Professor Jesse Kauffman as he discusses life for the average German during the Nazi regime's reign.  Jesse Kauffman teaches modern European political and cultural history with a focus on Germany and Poland.  He regularly offers graduate and undergraduate courses on Western Civilization, modern German history, European military history, and historical research/writing.  He also teaches a course on the Second World War.
