Glen Miller came from obscure beginnings in Iowa to become an American icon in the Big Band Era. He was a musician, an arranger, a composer and band leader in the Swing Era. His records topped the charts in the late '30s and early '40s. His success in the music business was carried over into entertaining troops in WWII. His arrangements are still heard today.
