Join David Larwa, a modern day pilgrim, and learn why the Way of St. James was one of the most important Christian pilgrimages during the Middle Ages. Experience the pilgrimage route which is 575 miles from St. Jean Pied De Port, France, to Santiago Spain, following a Roman trade route to the Atlantic coast of Galicia, ending at Cape Finisterre.

David has walked the Camino five times in the last three years.  He would like to encourage people of all ages to attend.  The session is for arm chair walkers, walkers, and aspiring walkers.  He will bring maps, music, books and back packing gear he has used for show and tell at the end of the talk.

David J. Larwa has served as the National Science Consultant for several major publishing companies before his retirement.  During this time, he worked in schools and conducted workshops for teachers throughout the world.  David brings his love of learning, teaching, and travel to Dexter.  His presentation will be entertaining and informative.  As a bee keeper, gardener, cook, backpacker, and paper crafter, David never lacks for things to do.
