Bedtime Story Time for Ages 6 and Under
Stop by the Library and enjoy 30 minutes of reading and music about going to bed and not going to bed. Wear your pajamas and bring a pillow or a soft friend. Cookies, raisins and a simple craft will be offered following the program. Registration is not required.

Graphic Novels for Grades 4 through 6
Join this fun group as we explore a variety of graphic novels. We’ll also have a snack and do a craft based on the theme of a book. Stop by the youth reference desk to select a lending copy of a graphic novel when you register.   Registration begins July 3.

First Tuesday Lego Club
Kids ages four and up are invited to spend an afternoon making their own Lego creations while visiting with old friends and making new ones.  Everyone is welcome - Legos will be provided by the Library.

Kids in Grades K through 6 who have attended one or more of our summer book clubs are invited to celebrate with games, face painting, food and prizes.  Registration begins July 3.

Teens and Tweens in Grades 5 through 12 enrolled in the Library's Teen Summer Reading Progfram are invited to celebrate with games, prizes, crafts and a lot of food.  Registraiton begins July 3.

Summer Reading Program Wrap-Up Performance
Kevin Devine Presents: Let's Build a Song and Build a Better World
Ann Arbor native Kevin Devine is an award-winning singer, songwriter and recording artist specializing in rollicking participatory family concerts. Over the past 20 years, he has performed thousands of concerts all over the country, dazzling audiences with his mad-cap shenanigans, musical hi-jinx and original songs. Everyone is invited to this all music, all participation performance for all ages.   Refreshments will be served at Farmers Market following the program.

Anyone who has finished the Read-To-Me, Reading Club or Teen Read Summer Reading Program can enter their reading record into the Grand Prize Drawing and pick up a book bag full of prizes, snacks and school supplies.  The Grand Prize Drawing is August 14 but you can continue working on your reading records to earn a book bag until Labor Day.  Congratulations to everyone who finished this year's program!

Watch the Solar Eclipse at Dexter District Library
On Monday, August 21 we will be gathering outside, in front of the Library to view the solar eclipse from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.  We’ll have solar eclipse sunglasses, sidewalk chalk, stories, games, refreshments and information
about the upcoming solar eclipse.  Adults and kids of all ages are welcome.
Cloudy?  We'll watch the event live on the big screen on the lower level.
