Shadow Puppetry Workshop with Alex Thomas and Friends
Monday, June 29 from 2:30 to 4:00 pm
Registration begins Friday, June 5.
Participants will learn the art of designing and crafting their own shadow puppets with instruction from Alex Thomas and Friends. They will be guided through the process of cutting, shaping, and assembling the puppets, ensuring that each one is unique and reflective of their creative vision. Once the puppets are completed, participants will learn the techniques of shadow play and manipulation. They will explore the effects of light and shadow, discovering how to create different moods and atmospheres using their puppets. Through experimentation and practice, participants will develop the skills to bring their puppets to life and create dynamic and visually stunning shadow performances.
