Join Mary Spencer for a virtual culinary adventure to Northern Africa – Morocco – land of spices. Influenced by interactions and experiences with many cultures over the centuries, Moroccan cuisine can be described as a mix of Arab, Berber, Andalusi, and Mediterranean cuisines, with minimal European and sub-Saharan influences. Mary will prepare spiced skillet chicken and couscous along with some surprise dishes from the country known as the Land of Spices.

About the presenter:

Mary Spencer has been a culinary instructor for over 20 years. She learned to cook from attending cooking seminars from acclaimed chefs including Jacques Papin, Milos Cihelka, Giulliano Bugialli and Nicholas Malgieri.  She is owner of Taste: A Cook’s Place, LLC, a Northville Michigan cooking school and cook’s resource center.  Her website is www.tasteacooksplace.net
