Tuning into the natural world in a focused way can serve as an anchor to the present moment. When combined with mindful walking, the experience can be calming and uplifting. Join Mindful Dexter and together we will enjoy a summer stroll through our community and indulge in a quintessential summer treat – ice-cream!
We will meet at the Dexter District Library to begin a guided walk through town and along the B2B trail. We will return to the Library to enjoy a frozen treat with an abbreviated mindful eating practice and discussion. The walk will be about 1 mile round trip. Come prepared for walking outdoors and feel free to stay for the discussion or not as your schedule permits. As with all Mindful Dexter programs, this is a free event, open to everyone and an opportunity to practice a valuable cognitive skill. Registration is appreciated.
No experience is necessary
If it is a stormy day, we will adjust the practice and move the program to an indoor meeting room at the Library.
This program is presented in partnership with the Dexter District Library, Dexter Wellness Center, and 5HealthyTowns.org.
