Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you’re sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind and help reduce stress.

Join Dexter resident Doreen M. Murasky, LMSW and learn about her experience as a Mindful Meditation instructor, what drew her to the discipline, her training and the benefits she has experienced in her personal life.  This program will also discuss how mindfulness meditation works, provide time for a sample meditation practice and give attendees a chance to ask questions.

This program will be in the Library’s lower-level meeting room. Registration is appreciated. Scroll down to register Register or call 734-426-4477 (ext. 120).

This program is part of the Dexter District Library’s yearlong Bicentennial program – “We Are Dexter.” Every month from January through December the Library will host a program featuring individuals and groups that make up the Dexter community. These presentations will include artists, authors, musicians and individuals who have a hobby, talent, experience or story that makes them part of the fabric of our town.
