Helpful Titles During the Covid-19 Crisis

Our librarians at Dexter District Library have been working hard to create a collection of books and other materials to meet the challenges that Covid-19 has brought to our community.  From hygiene to homeschooling; prevention to social distancing; facts to fiction, we have collected a wide range of adult, teen and children’s materials to help you at this difficult time.  Holds may be placed by clicking on any title you would like to borrow, ebooks can be checked out directly through hoopla.  We will notify you when your holds are available for curbside service.  This webpage will be updated regularly.

Library Curbside Service – Expanded Hours Begin Monday 7/13/2020

We are happy to report, the Library will be expanding the hours our curbside pickup of materials on Monday, July 13.  Until further notice, pickup will be available between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm on weekdays and 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays.

Using the Library’s catalog to request items will be the most efficient way to get exactly what you want. When placing a hold for an item Dexter does not own, but shows as available at another library, you may get the message that the hold cannot be placed.  This just means any copies reside at libraries which have not restored full interlibrary loan.  Please make a note of the title and try again after a week.
