CSLP 2026 Pterodactyl Reading

2026 Adult Summer Reading Program

This year’s Adult Summer Reading Program is Unearth a Story! Join the Dexter District Library as we explore the worlds of paleontology, archaeology, genealogy, and more, while digging for some fantastic stories. Complete activities to earn up to 20 stickers for your paleoenvironment landscape while unearthing new stories. Stickers include dinosaurs, underwater creatures, birds, reptiles and an assortment of plants. You can even earn a volcano!

There will also be a weekly hands-on activity at the Library. This activity can be added to the “bonus” sticker of your choice. Want to add some vegetation to your landscape?

You can earn a plant sticker for every 2 book recommendation cards turned in. Earn 4 dinosaur stickers and 3 “bonus” stickers to complete the program and be entered into the final prize drawing.

The program officially ends on Friday, July 31. All patrons who have completed the program and turned in materials by Sunday, August 2, will be entered into the final drawing for one of the many great Summer Reading Program prizes.  The Adult Summer Reading Program is for adults 18 years of age and older.

A simplified online only version of the program is available through Beanstack.
