Did you know that there are 700,000 Amateur Radio (better known as Ham Radio) operators in the US and over 3 million worldwide? Did you know that you do not need to know Morse Code to become an operator? If you were wondering if Amateur Radio would be for you or are just interested in learning about Amateur Radio, the Chelsea Amateur Radio Club, can help you get on the air circumventing the globe. We can’t guarantee that we will have all of the answers but we can have a conversation and get you where you would like to go.

Join us for this informational presentation on Amateur (Ham) Radio operation, see Ham Radio equipment and speak with members of the Chelsea Amateur Radio Club.

About the Chelsea Amateur Radio Club:

Both licensed amateur radio operators and those interested in amateur radio are encouraged to join the club. Membership opens the door for learning, advancement in knowledge, and most certainly, fun. The Chelsea Amateur Radio Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 PM. Meetings for now are by video conference. We hope in the near future to resume in-person meetings at the Chelsea Police Department conference room.

Jim Grissom is President of the Chelsea Amateur Radio Club. Find out more about the club at http://wd8iel.com/
