Kris DeLong, from MMAP (Michigan Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program), will be at the library to present Medicare 101. This presentation is designed for New Medicare Beneficiaries and Pre-Enrollees alike. Providing detailed information on Medicare, options with Medicare- Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, and Medigap. Assistance available to Medicare beneficiaries for paying their Medicare costs like LIS and Medicaid (MSP). Information on enrollment periods for Medicare beneficiaries, Open Enrollment, General Enrollment, Initial Enrollment and Special Enrollment Periods. This presentation will educate and empower Medicare beneficiaries in their Medicare decisions.
Medicare Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP) provides unbiased help with Medicare and Medicaid – at no charge. A team of certified volunteers will answer questions, troubleshoot problems and help people understand their plan choices. Government funding allows impartial assistance free.
