People in our country have come together for many occasions – sometimes in celebration of a World Series or performance, in times of peace and war, or in cases of calamities. This year’s Adult Summer Reading program – All Together Now – will focus on the events in history that brought people together.  Participants will pick up 4 Activity Cards and select 4 Event Cards to complete over the course of the program. Event Cards will include topics such as great moments in sports and entertainment, the great migration, accomplishments like the completion of the transcontinental railroad, or in moments of despair as in the 9-11 and Hurricane Katrina tragedies. Complete all 4 Activity Cards over the course of the Summer Reading Program to be entered into the final prize drawing. Want more of a challenge?  Pick up additional Activity & Event Cards. Earn an additional prize drawing entry for each Activity Card completed.

In addition to the All Together Now print version of the program, participants will also be able to log reading minutes and complete online activities on Beanstack at: https://dexter.beanstack.org/.

The Adult Summer Reading Program is for adults 18 years of age and older. You can register at the Adult Service Desk on or after June 19. If you would like to log your reading minutes and complete the Beanstack activities you can register online at: https://dexter.beanstack.org/ beginning on June 19.

Complete the program by August 6 to be entered in the final prize drawing.
